Photography Students Exhibit Work at Portfolio Day April 15


The Hickory Museum of Art will host a special Portfolio Day exhibit of Catawba Valley Community College’s graduating Photographic Technology student art work on Fri., April 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. throughout the museum’s galleries.

The exhibit is open to the general public at no charge; light refreshments will be served.

Each student is required to complete a portfolio class during their last semester in which they prepare a collection of work for scrutiny by prospective employers or customers. Portfolio Day is the culmination of two years of study and accomplishment.

Graduates of the CVCC’s Photographic Technology program are currently employed by advertising agencies, photography studios, printing companies and in-house art departments of major corporations.
