Call for Cyber Challenge Registrations

CVCC will host a five-day Cyber Camp Oct. 10 through 14. Nationally recognized cyber security faculty will teach 21st century forensic investigation and penetration testing skills using a SANS Institute curriculum.

To be eligible for the camp, participants must register for and receive the highest scores in a preliminary online Cyber Quest competition. Registration is open through September 8. Visit for more information.

The competition is open to North Carolina college students who are U.S. citizens. It is of special interest to college students majoring in cyber crime, network security or networking. It is an opportunity for cyber specialists in training to test their skills and compete for a chance to further their knowledge at the October Cyber Camp at CVCC.

Tuition for the five-day Cyber Camp will be underwritten by sponsors, many of whom will participate in a job fair during the camp.

U.S. Cyber Challenge, which is a division of the Center for Internet Security, organizes the competition in an effort to meet the demand for cyber security talent in the U.S.
