CVCC Hosts Science Olympiad
Catawba Valley Community College recently hosted the annual Hickory Regional Science Olympiad for middle and high school students. Hundreds attended the day-long event which gave students the opportunity to test their skills in competitions that use engineering, chemistry, geology, biology, physics and other disciplines. CVCC faculty and staff and many others from local business and industry, such as Corning, and from other community colleges, volunteered to judge and manage the events.
