Polysom Team Wins 1st Place

The Polysomnography Technology Program faculty and staff recently hosted the statewide “Pajama Bowl” competition. The Pajama Bowl is a trivia type competition between other North Carolina community college schools that offer a polysomnography curriculum. The CVCC student team won first place in the competition. Pitt Community College, last year’s winner, came in second, and Lenoir Community College came in third. CVCC is one of only five community colleges in the state that offers this training which prepares graduates to work with physicians to perform and interpret sleep studies and to provide comprehensive clinical evaluations required for the diagnosis of sleep-related disorders.
