Business Dean Serves as Panelist at World Future Society Conference

Dr. John Enamait, Dean of Catawba Valley Community College’s School of Business, Industry & Technology, recently served as a panelist at the annual World Future Society's conference in Chicago.

Sometimes called a “World’s Fair of Ideas,” the conference brings together nearly 1,000 of the world’s leading thinkers annually to discuss the long-range future of science, technology, humanity, government, religion and many other topics.

Enamait’s presentation focused on community based leadership transfer to a younger generation with the ability to adapt to and prepare for a future that is increasingly fast-paced, interconnected and complex.

He earned his doctorate in technology management at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. He earned an associate in applied science at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration at Gardner-Webb University and a website developer graduate certificate at East Carolina University. He joined the CVCC faculty in 2007 and has been closely involved in expanding entrepreneurship studies and services to the community, and introducing instruction in modern robotics, mechatronics, and computer integrated machining technology.
