Welcome to the Catawba Valley Community College Science Department.
The science department offers classes in astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, geology, geography, and physics. You'll develop critical thinking skills in these subjects through hands-on classroom and field experiences and community service projects.
Our classrooms and labs feature some of the most current high-tech equipment in the region. Classrooms and labs are located on the 4th floor of the Dunbar Building (CAD).
You'll work closely with our faculty to apply facts and figures to real-world situations. Our accomplished instructors have been published in peer-reviewed journals and are active in regional and national professional organizations.
Please see the catalog for more information about the Associate in Science degree option.
