Information Sessions

Start your enrollment process with an Admission and Financial Aid Information Sessions.

Want to start college or return to school after an absence? You will begin the CVCC admission process by attending a Starting Points Information Session to get information about enrollment. Here's what you will receive at Starting Points:

  • Application for Admission online link;
  • Financial Aid details -- costs, scholarships, FAFSA submission dates/deadlines;
  • Placement testing details;
  • How to obtain high school/GED/college transcripts; and
  • A "Step by Step" guide sheet for enrolling at CVCC!

Start your admission process NOW. No appointment is necessary for Starting Points, but sessions do start on time. Please arrange for childcare. CAD is the abbreviation for the Cuyler A. Dunbar Bldg; see the campus map for directions. No applications are processed following Starting Points. Can't come to campus for Starting Points? View Starting Points online and print the confirmation page before visiting Student Services to process your Application for Admission.

Location: Cuylar Dunbar Building, Room 345
Time: Check-in begins at 5:00 PM; Session begins at 5:30 PM

Don't forget:

  • There is no cost to attend Starting Points.
  • Just pick a date and come; no sign up necessary.
  • Bring your parent/guardian if they'd like to come.
  • Plan to spend about 45 minutes with us.
  • Bring some paper and a pen.
  • Make arrangements for childcare; classroom space is usually limited
