Certified Nurse Assistant Classes allow those whose complete the courses the opportunity to register with the NC Board of Nursing.
Upon successful completion, student will be eligible to apply for the state exam to be listed on the DHSR NA I Registry.
Current US government issued, signature bearing photo ID, and GED or high school diploma. Current high school seniors may register. Current high school seniors are exempt from the prerequisites.
Successful completion of Pathways to Healthcare and Pre-test or documentation of placement into English 111 or completion of Reading 090 or DRE 98. Textbook, Workbook and Manual required.

Costs include a $180 registration fee, $15.75 insurance fee, $26 supply fee, and CPR $8.00

To register, you must bring in your drivers license, high school diploma, proof that you have taken a State approved NA I class in the pass, and your NA I can't be expired more than 2 years. You are also eligible if you are a CNA from another state wanting to take the test for North Carolina. Cost includes $125 registration fee plus $1.25 insurance fee. Textbook and Manual required.

The CNA II Program provides training in more complex skills for working with patients or residents regardless of the setting. Persons successfully completing the course may register with the NC Board of Nursing for certification.
High School diploma or GED, Certificate of completion of a NC State approved Nurse Aide I program, be listed on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry in good standing, and driver’s license or US government-issued photo ID.
Costs includes a $180 registration fee, $15.75 insurance fee, and $90 supply fee. Textbook and Program Manual required.

Costs include $125 registration fee plus $1.25 insurance fee. Textbook and other supplies required.
