If you want to learn about Cake Decorating than this is the perfect start! In this 4-week class the student will learn the basics of torting, filling and icing thecake and icing techniques like writing, stars, leaves, and the ribbon rose. Also the student will be introduced to flowers and cake design, gum paste andfondant and advanced gum paste flowers. Glenda Peek, a Wilton certified instructor, will teach a variety of cake decorating techniques so come and enjoy the fun!
Special Instructions: Students must purchase the Wilton kit. Other supplies will be needed throughout the class sessions which will be given on the first night of class.

Reach a new level in cake decorating! Learn to make fancy borders, beautiful flowers, the popular basketweave technique the The Wilton Flower. Students will work with royal icing, the ideal medium to use when creating flowers and decorations in advance. You will also learn how to design a professional-looking cake from selecting the colors to arranging your flowers.

Develop new skills working with fondant and gum paste, and apply them to create shapes, borders, and flowers. You will also learn how to cover a cake with fondant. Plus, you will design and create a complete project using all the techniques you were taught.

The student will develop new skills with working with fondant creating beautiful cupcakes. This class will be a demo-style and some hands-on class. The student will learn how to create beautiful fondant decorated cupcakes to amaze family and friends. The class will consist of fondant basics which will include handling and storing fondant as well as tinting fondant using icing colors, learning to roll out fondant, embossing fondant, creating embellishments, fondant bow, creating a quilled flower and teardrop flower.
Pre-requisite: Cake Decorating-Beginning class or equivalent.
