The Multicultural Office strives to provide the catalyst for creating a climate on CVCC campuses for a positive educational experience for all students.
Mission Statement: To provide the catalyst for creating a climate on CVCC campuses for a positive educational experience for all students.
Vision Statement: For all students, staff, and faculty to embrace and value diversity.
The Multicultural Office has transitioned from being a resource to an office committed to the recruitment, advising, and retaining students from underserved populations in our service area. The staff and Mr. Steve Hunt, Executive Director work hard to collaborate with the entire campus and the Catawba and Alexander communities to promote the mission and vision of the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
The Multicultural Affairs office was the first of its kind in the North Carolina College System. We continue to strive to welcome all members of our community. We want to serve the needs of students and community. The word "community" should just be a word in the college's name but a sense of welcome and inclusiveness for all individuals who come to the campus.
