Training
CVCC has chosen to offer training for Trainers and Technical / Software Support Staff. Other community colleges will be offering training for Implementation Specialists, Practice Workflow and Information Management Redesign Specialists, Clinical Practitioner Consultants, and Implementation Managers.
The bulk of the training will be delivered in computerized / distance learning format, but may require some face to face application, assessment and or instruction and perhaps a project or internship. The courses will be comprehensive but should easily be completed in 6 months or less. Persons who complete the course will receive documentation of their completion and a competency assessment. Most should qualify to take the national certification exam. As part of the program, CVCC will assist students with job placement and employers locate trained personnel. CVCC will begin offering instruction in September 2010.
