CAREER AND COLLEGE PROMISE

Success in today’s global economy requires a two-or four-year degree, a certificate or diploma. If you are a qualified North Carolina high-school-age student, Career & College Promise gives you the opportunity to pursue these options—tuition free! This is your chance to get a jump start on your workplace and college preparation.

CCP provides three pathways to help advance your post-high school success:

» Career Technical Education Pathway

Leads to a certificate or diploma aligned with a high school Career Cluster.

» Core 44 College Transfer Pathway

Provides up to 34 hours of tuition-free course credits toward the Core 44. This is an agreed-upon 44 hours of college credits that will transfer seamlessly to any NC public or participating college or university for qualified high school students. This will save successful students time and money in pursuing four-year degrees.

» Cooperative Innovative High School Program (Challenger Early College High School)

Based on the campus of Catawba Valley Community College, Challenger allows students to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree in approximately 5 years.
