The MISSION of the North Carolina Community College Faculty Association is to promote
excellence throughout the North Carolina Community College System.

The North Carolina Community College System Website provides links to public agencies,
professional associations and non-profit organizations directly involved with North Carolina's Community
Colleges, with education, with government and with other closely-related organizations of interest to the
community college family. We do not provide links to commercial organizations nor to personal homepages
maintained by individuals.
American Association of Community Colleges (AACC)
This Association has been a national voice for two-year associate degree granting
institutions since its inception in 1920. Located in the National Center for Higher Education in Washington,
D.C., AACC works with other higher education associations, the federal government, Congress, and other
national associations that represent the public and private sectors to promote the goals of community
colleges and higher education.

The purposes of the Faculty Student Association (FSA) are to establish, operate, manage, promote, and
cultivate educational activities and relationships between and among the students and faculty of the college
and aid the students, faculty, and the administration of the college in the furtherance of their education
and studies, work, living and cocurricular activities in collaboration and coordination with the educational
goals of the college.
All members of the Board of Trustees, student body, and all employees of the college are members of the
Faculty Student Association.

CCFLC is an organization of community college senate and faculty leaders dedicated to enhancing
academic excellence, developing position papers, sharing existing college policies, and quickly polling and
tabulating statewide faculty opinions on key issues.
Nevada Faculty Alliance (NFA)
This is a professional organization, open to both tenured and non-tenured faculty,
administrative and teaching faculty. Its charter, like that of the AAUP nationwide, is to improve academic
freedom for everyone, member or not. NFA is the official AAUP organization in the State of Nevada. It is the
only faculty organization in Nevada that represents the interests of faculty in the University and Community
College System of Nevada (UCCSN).
Faculty Senate of Virginia
The purpose of the Faculty Senate of Virginia is a representative voice for private
and public college and university faculties.
