Privileges of Non-Members
Section I: Attendance
- Meetings of the Faculty Senate shall be open to all Faculty, excepting that the Senate reserves the
right to meet in executive session as appropriate.
- Meetings of the Faculty Senate shall be closed to all non-Faculty, excepting participation as set
forth in Section II.
Section II: Participation
Any member of the College community, including Faculty, administration, professional
staff, support staff, or student body, has the right to address the Faculty Senate during the "new
business" portion of the meeting. These procedures shall be followed:
- Any individual wishing to address the Faculty Senate must petition the Senate President to be placed
on the written agenda. He must appear before the Faculty Senate on the date designated by the Senate
President.
- The Executive Board reserves the right to invite anyone who can contribute to the planned agenda.
- Requests to appear at Faculty Senate meetings shall be received no later than five (5) working days
prior to the scheduled meeting.
- If the petitioning individual or the Senate is dissatisfied with the outcome, then the individual or
the Senate may call a meeting of the Faculty for further suggestions or resolutions.
