Team Members in Attendance: Garrett Hinshaw, Coy Hudson, Wes Bunch, Wayne Wooten, Linda Lutz, Ron Valentini, Deborah Myatt, and Charles White

Guest: Cindy Coulter and Brian Morris

Agenda Items and Actions Taken:

1. Title III Retention Efforts - Cindy Coulter was invited to the meeting to present information on the Title III efforts on retention. After detailed explanations of the data gathered, Dr. Hinshaw told the IELC that the data presents a starting point for retention efforts under the College’s new Enrollment Management System that will be implemented in the near future.



2. Institutional Surveys Update - Charles reported that the comments box on the Graduate Exit Survey has been added. Charles will send the latest comments to the IELC on a regular basis. Spaces were added to the Faculty/Staff/Administration Survey to allow respondents to indicate either full-time or part-time employment. The proper names of the president, vice-presidents, and deans were entered beside their respective titles.The Faculty/Staff/Administration Survey will be posted in the IE, Research and Planning Website on the CVCC Internet site, thus allowing easy access to all full-time and part-time employees.



3. Online Objectives Reporting - Charles presented a draft for the new Directions, Initiatives, and Objectives screens which will allow appropriate persons to identify the particular Directions, Initiatives, and Objectives before writing their annual objectives. Charles then reviewed the existing online system and received several suggested changes in preparation for the new strategic planning process. Charles will design the revisions and then meet with Yer Yang to discuss the changes. A presentation of the new online system is anticipated at the March 20 IELC meeting.



4. Strategic Planning - No further update on strategic planning was provided.



5. Coy distributed a report on student learning outcomes from the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.



6. Reminder of Next Meeting -The next IELC meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned.
