Council Members in Attendance:  Garrett Hinshaw, Coy Hudson, Wayne Wooten, Wes Bunch, Linda Lutz, Christine Holt, Bill Dulin, and Charles White

Agenda Items and Actions Taken

1. Long Range Plan/Facilities Master Plan – Dr. Hinshaw first spoke about the Facilities Master Plan. Several copies were circulated for the Council to view. The Long Range Plan must be developed in order that the College receives funds to update the existing Facilities Master Plan. The Long Range Plan is due to the System Office by January 1, 2008. Dr. Hinshaw summarized the data submitted by the College Planning Committee (Administrative Council). This data will be used to prepare the Long Range Plan. Charles will write the plan.

2. Standards of Excellence – After some brief discussion regarding the work already done on the new Standards the decision was made to hold several meetings to review the Standards as developed by each vice president’s committee. Coy will meet with Sherry to set up meetings in the next few weeks. Each vice president is to submit their proposed Standards to Charles by November 30. Charles will compile  the Standards and add them to the old Benchmarks, then send the set to Council members prior to the first meeting.

3. Other Business – There was no further business.

4. Reminder of Next Meeting – The next SPC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned.
