CVCC Professional Staff Association Executive Committee
January 21, 2003

Members Present: Doug Allen, John Beall, Donna Trado, Anne Williams

The meeting was called to order by President Donna Trado at 3:20 pm.

Old Business:
There was a general discussion of the issue of the Catawba County Pay Supplement.  After much discussion it was decided that our next immediate steps are to:

1. determine what is the pay supplement plan for county school employees, job classifications receiving the supplement and at what amounts.

2. determine from Sallie Neville-Merritt the status of meetings with Drs. Dunbar, Lane & Phillips.

3. Determine from Dr. Dunbar what actions have been taken on the Board of Trustees commitment to look into the pay supplement issue.

Agenda Planning for next General Meeting:
General meeting is scheduled for Thursday February 20, 2003 at 3:00 - 4:00 PM. in Main Campus Room VSL-220 (Instructional Conference Room).

Agenda items for the general meeting include:

1. Treasurer's and membership report.

2. Update on the PSA presentation by President Donna Trado to the CVCC Board of Trustees meeting in November, 2002.

3. Report of the status of the PSA request for equity in the county pay supplement.

4. Next steps for PSA to take in the county pay supplement issue.

5. Report of the new CVCC holiday plan to equal the number of days received by state employees.

6. Need for a formal PSA "Thank you" letter for the extra annual leave days and pay increase to CVCC Administration and NCCCS President Lancaster.

7. Other business.
