Minutes Members Present: LaDonna Goodson, Anne Williams, Sue Asp, Judy Barkley, Mike Fein. President LaDonna Goodson called the meeting to order at 8:35. Potential PSA Goals for 1999-2000 The Executive Committee listed the following as potential goals for the PSA in the current year. The list will be presented to the membership at the October 21 meeting and additions will be invited. A list of potential goals will then be distributed via the Intranet and ranked by the membership. 1. Improve campus communications by putting all committee minutes on the Intranet. 2. Encourage the college to develop a strategic plan for CVCC for the next five years, with participation by the community and the entire college. 3. Make internal announcement of availability of all positions, including newly created positions, in advance of announcement to the public. 4. Encourage providing opportunities for advancement for currently employed staff into both currently existing and proposed positions. 5. Make the salary grade and range information in the Policy & Procedure Manual accurate. 6. Seek pay equity with faculty. This will include both local and state-wide campaigns. 7. Produce an informational brochure on the PSA. 8. Network with other NC community college staff associations. 9. Investigate year-to-year employment appointments v. contracts.
