Applied Music

Applied music is one-on-one music instruction. One student studies with one teacher for 50 minutes once a week. Applied music courses are only available to those who are registered in at least 3 hours of study. Music majors receive first consideration in scheduling of applied courses. Applied music is offered in voice, piano, brass, woodwinds and percussion. Students taking applied lessons are required to practice at school a minimum of 3 hours per week, not including their lesson hour. Soundproof booths equipped with pianos are available on the lower floor of the Paap Building in room 137.
