Recitals

Some music majors will be allowed to give a 30 - minute sophomore recital in the spring of their sophomore year. Students may choose to join with a friend to do a joint recital of one hour in length by request of their teacher.

Music majors are required to attend all recitals, including general recitals held once every semester and recitals by visiting artists. All students studying voice or an instrument will be given the opportunity to perform at least once in the school year on recital. Master classes are offered regularly by all instructors at no extra charge to the student.

Juries A music jury of all applied teachers will gather once each semester to listen to all music students perform, to make helpful suggestions and give constructive criticism. Juries are required at the end of each semester for all music students.
