Anonymous Scholarship - Furniture Industry

An anonymous donor is dedicated to providing quality educational benefits to deserving individuals in the Catawba Valley. The furniture industry contributes greatly to the economy and growth of the Catawba Valley and provides citizens with many jobs. Because trained, dedicated employees are so crucial to the operation of the furniture industry, this scholarship is established to enable and encourage three students to pursue an associate degree or diploma in the furniture program. The quality of products produced by the furniture industry is a direct result of well-trained employees.

In addition, the donor is establishing one scholarship for a deserving student to pursue an associate degree or diploma in the program of choice. The donor will remain anonymous except to the recipients of the scholarship.

Scholarship Award

Each scholarship will pay for a maximum of $1,200 for tuition. An additional $200 may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Criteria for Selection

• Potential to successfully complete an associate degree or diploma program.
• Attend CVCC on a full-time basis.
• Commitment to obtain an education to pursue a position preferably in the furniture industry.
• Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.
