Foundation

The Vera Shuford Scholarship Award is established by the Women's League of Hickory to honor Mrs. Vera Shuford during her 57th year of membership as an active member in all three organizations of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. Mrs. Shuford has served as president of various Federated Clubs and holds honorary positions in these clubs presently. She also serves as an Advisor to the Women's League of Hickory. She has and continues to serve as an advocate for women while having held numerous offices within the Federation.
