International Students
Information for nationals of other countries applying to CVCC
CVCC welcomes all international students. Please read the admissions requirements carefully and complete all necessary forms. Financial documentation must be submitted exactly as described in the instructions. The student's accuracy in providing all necessary information will result in a timely review of the student's application.
The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVIS) allows an F-1 student to enroll in only one online course per academic term. The COVID 19 pandemic has resulted in a larger than usual number of programs moving to an online format. Until the pandemic has abated and the College resumes its safe offering of seated and hybrid courses, international students must choose one of the following programs to ensure SEVIS compliance for the duration of study beginning with the SUMMER 2021 term:
- Associate in Arts
- Associate in Engineering (AE)
- Associate in Science
The student's online application must be received by the published deadline for the semester the student is interested in enrolling. Once the Admissions Office receives all required information and documentation, a decision will be made concerning enrollment at this college. If the application is incomplete, the student's documentation will not be considered. The college will hold an incomplete application file for six months. After that time, the contents of the student's file will be destroyed and they will be required to re-submit all application materials.
Upon receipt of completed admissions documentation and provided all documents are in good order, the student will be issued an I-20 for an academic program. The student must take that I-20 to the US Embassy or Consulate office in their country and complete a non-immigrant visa application to apply for a student visa.
