Email Communications
Students who are requesting information or submitting inquiries to the College need to use their official CVCC email account.
Students who have completed the admissions process to the College are issued an official CVCC email account.
Faculty and staff will use this official CVCC email address to communicate with students. Students who are requesting information or submitting inquiries to the College need to use their official CVCC email account.
CVCC expects that students will receive and read college emails in a timely manner. Students are expected to maintain this email account and check it several times a week. Failure to receive and read official college email communications do not absolve students from knowing and complying with the content of email communications.
While students may "redirect" official CVCC e-mail address to another service provider (Hotmail, AOL, etc.), students do so at their own risk. CVCC is not responsible for handling email by other service providers. Having email redirected to another carrier does not absolve students from knowing and complying with the content of e-mail communications.
Students should understand that email is considered a legitimate form of correspondence and should be created and sent with courtesy and consideration. Refer to additional college policies regarding computer use in Section 4, Paragraph 18.
A student’s CVCC email account is deactivated after three (3) consecutive semesters without registration activity.
