Add Customer

CommonSpot ties this function to the number of customers you are currently licensed to support. If the number of customers meets your licensed limit, you cannot add new customers until you have purchased the appropriate keys.

CommonSpot reports the following error.

You must also create a new database for housing the customer's Users data. Once you complete these steps, use the Add Customer dialog to capture configuration data for new customers.

• Name: Required. Enter a unique name.
• Description: Required Enter a brief description of this customer.
• Customer License: If the Users license is included in the Customer License drop down, select the appropriate option. If the Users license is not included in the drop down, contact your PaperThin account representative to request a key.
• Permit AutoLogin: Optional. When checked, enables cookie-based authentication for sites requiring login. This option does not affect content contributor settings. CommonSpot always prompts for contributor credentials to maintain content security. If this is not checked, contributors must explicitly log in to sites requiring authentication.

Click Next to display the Create Users Data Source dialog for configuring the database type and source for this customer. Cancel exits without saving changes.
