Generating Social Media Rules from Custom Element Content

When Custom Element rules run for generating social media content, fields map as follows:

For field values saved with HTML tags in the database, all HTML is removed before content is saved for social media output.

Blank Title fields blank are saved as ‘Rule Name – Current Date Time’ by default.

Title fields that exceed the maximum of 100 characters are truncated.

Image fields are blank unless and until they are mapped to either an image or valid CommonSpot image link field.

The following special cases apply:

Formatted Text Block - The title is saved in one line and all HTML tags are removed. Social message displays in multiple lines as saved, but images are removed and the image area displays as blank.

Large Text Area/Small Text Area - The title displays with spaces in place of the new line. Social message displays as entered, but the image displays as blank if the content is is entered as non-image content.

Image - The title field displays default value. Social Message field is blank and the Social Image field displays the image.
