Import Packet

New in CommonSpot 10.5.0 is a Site Utility for importing a packet that has multiple sub-packets. This tool facilitates adding CommonSpot Widgets to your site. Widgets are custom elements that will have one or more of the following:

  1. Custom Metadata Form
  2. Custom Render Handlers
  3. Custom Field Types
  4. Custom Style Sheets
  5. One or more Custom elements
  6. Post Import File for processing after the custom element(s) is imported, for example, to pre-populate select list data used in a select list field in a different custom element.

 

This tool was created to support Widgets (or any other complex custom application) that has other dependent objects. To make importing these additional dependencies easier, PaperThin combines all the required objects into one .zip file which may include any combination of the above listed exported objects. This utility opens the import packet and allows you to import each object one at a time, bringing you back to the master dialog until all objects are imported. This tool may also be used to import a single custom element or custom metadata form.
