At the subsite level use these options to assign rights to users and groups.
Note the following:
When copying Content or General security settings between subsites.
If the "source" subsite has Inherit from Parent selected, copying the security properties copies the Inherit from Parent option (not the effective permissions from the "source" subsite), so the "target" subsites will inherit security from their parents. If any of the "target" subsites have explicitly defined security settings, these settings are discarded
If the "source" subsite does not inherit security settings from its parent subsite, all of the security settings are copied to the target subsite(s). If any of these subsites had the Inherit from parent setting, this setting is cleared.
