Controlling Custom Element Rendering (Display Templates)

Once the data has been selected, additional rendering parameters can be chosen by clicking on the “Layout” link in the Custom Element layout menu. From the Element Layout Properties dialog, a contributor can choose to restrict Results or apply a Display Template. The default template for the Element will be pre-selected the first time the Element is inserted.
