Use the Add/Edit Field Security Permissions dialog to assign View and Edit rights to fields on a custom, simple, or metadata form. Access this dialog when you add user or group rights to a field through the Field Security dialog or when you explicitly modify security through the New Form Field security tab. This dialog displays in edit mode as shown below for existing fields.
