Shorter URLs are easier to share, tweet, or email. This release of CommonSpot supports automated URL shortening through goo.gl. Access this dialog from Site Admin - URL Shorteners to automatically convert URLs in your social media communications and to track clicks and referrers to short URLs through the goo.gl service.
Before short URLs can be included in social media messages, CommonSpot must have application-level access to the URL shortening service, with status set to active in this dialog. Application-level access is granted when CommonSpot is registered with the service, using a valid, unexpired token. See Setting Up URL Shortening. Once this setup is complete on the goo.gl site, you can turn access on/off in CommonSpot by clicking the flag icon.
If registration with the service is complete but CommonSpot access is not, a grayed-out check mark displays in the State column. Clicking this icon activates the URL service request for Commonspot access.
Click to sort by Name or State.
