Temperature Screening Stations
Temperature screening stations are in place to ensure the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beginning August 2, 2021, temperature screening has been suspended.
Beginning August 17, 2020, temperature screening station will be open.
The main buildings at the Main and East Campus are open 7:00 AM-6:45 PM, Monday-Thursday, with exception of Corporate Development Center, Student Services, Dental Hygiene building, and Engineering building. Access on Friday and Saturday is limited.
Procedures for entering the CVCC screening stations
- Arrive at one of the designated CVCC screening stations.
- If you have your own face mask put it on prior to entering the building, if you do not have a face mask one will be provided for you as you approach the screening station.
- Once you have your face mask on stand on the black mat facing the thermal temperature-screening camera. Pause for about one second and the device will either play a message that temperature is normal or abnormal.
- If temperature is normal, staff will provide you with a wrist band that should be placed on the right wrist. If you have the wrist band on you will not have to be screened again that day as you leave and reenter buildings. If you do not wear the wrist band you will have to repeat the process each time you leave and reenter a building.
- If your temperature reads high then the staff will work with you and provide additional details.
