Tree Navigation Layout Properties

Access this dialog by choosing Layout Properties from the Tree Element menu once a Tree is defined on a page. Layout options control global attributes for the current Tree. Use this dialog to:

Enable/disable rendering for entries to all Title, Description, and Image fields and optionally set formatting. See Edit Tree .
Control style class assignments for all branches, leaves, and nodes. See Trees in the Administrator's Reference for a description of terms. Applies to hierarchical layouts only, for example, trees using ordered or unordered list formats. CommonSpot assigns empty node, branch, and leaf styles to nested structures. To use this feature you must create a style sheet including node, branch, and leaf definitions as a member of a registered Style Sheet Set. See the Contributor's Reference for details.
Optionally limit the number of levels to render for the entire Tree. Applies to hierarchical layouts only.

Enter or update the following:

Fields: Lists fields displayed in the right panel for a selected node in Edit Tree. Select which fields to display and optionally pick from defined tags to format each. Only selected items render for the published Tree.
Classes: For hierarchical Trees (for example nested lists), enable/disable predefined classes for the following. CommonSpot supplies empty classes for each:
- Node-level entries
- Branches (nodes with children)
- Leaves (nodes without children)
Depth: For hierarchical Trees, optionally limit the number of levels to display, or specify no limit (the default).
