Click Add New Base Template in the Base Templates dialog. The New Base Template dialog prompts for information necessary to register a new Base Template. Complete the following fields to create a new Base Template. This dialog displays in edit mode for existing Base Templates.
Complete the following fields:
Template Category - Select the category for the new template in the Template Gallery dialog. You must have Create Page/Templates Categories permissions, assigned through General Security Permissions to see the New option for creating template categories. Choosing this option displays the Add Category dialog for organizing templates at your site.
Template Name - Provide a unique name for the Template.
Description - Provide a brief description for the template and its purpose.
ColdFusion Template Filename - Provide a template filename. Optionally click Public to make this template visible for selection in the CommonSpot Template Gallery. See Template Gallery in the Contributor's Reference for details. Note: Do not include this file's path information, as the path that CommonSpot uses is relative to the current subsite.
Shortcut Icon: Click the Select Image button to optionally choose an image to associate with this template. In order for the image to appear in the Template Gallery, it must be a GIF file with the same name as the template, and you must also flag the template as Public. Images are typically WYSIWYG representations that make it easy to identify and select templates. See Template Gallery in the Contributor's Reference for details.
Dependencies: You can automatically load resources and libraries required by your modules once you register them in CommonSpot. This field displays any registered resources loaded by this module. See Site Administration - Resources and Libraries. If the code requests a resource by its alias, CommonSpot identifies the library that the alias resolves to. If code requests a resource that does not exist or that is not registered, CommonSpot reports an error.
