Commission on Dental Accreditation Posting Form for Policy On Third Party Comments
The program must solicit third-party comments through appropriate notification of communities of interest and the public such as faculty, students, program administrators, specialty and dental related organizations, patients, and consumers that pertain to the standards of policies and procedures used in the Commission's accreditation process. An announcement for soliciting third-party comments to be published at least 90 days prior to the site-visit. The notice should indicate that third-party comments are due in the Commission's office no later than 60 days prior to the site visit. Please review the entire policy on "Third Party Comments" in the Commission's Evaluation and Operational Policies and Procedures manual.
The following notice of “Third Party Comments” will be posted on the Dental Hygiene Program website November 1st, 2021. In addition, the notice will be printed and posted in the dental clinic reception area, displayed on activity boards across the college and discussed at the fall Advisory Committee Meeting.
CODA 2021 VISIT TO CATAWBA VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE APRIL 05 & 06, 2022 The dental hygiene program at Catawba Valley Community College will undergo a comprehensive evaluation visit from Monday, April 5 through Tuesday, April 6, 2022 by a team representing the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). CODA is nationally recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the sole agency to accredit dental and dental-related education programs conducted at the post-secondary level.
SUBMIT COMMENTS BY SATURDAY FEBRUARY 05, 2022. Third parties, including faculty, students, program administrators, specialty and dental-related organizations, patients, and consumers are invited to submit comments. Signed or unsigned comments will be accepted. Names and/or signatures will be removed from comments prior to forwarding them to the program. All comments must pertain only to the standards relative to the particular program(s) being reviewed, or policies and procedures used in the accreditation process. A copy of the accreditation standards and/or the commission’s policy on third party comments may be obtained by contacting the commission at ada.org/en/coda.
