Manicurist
Manicurist also know as Nail technicians are licensed professionals that perform a wide variety of hand and feet grooming and manicure procedures. This class is designed to train Manicurist professionals.
Manicurist Program
The manicurist program is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific and artistic principles and hands-on fundamentals associated with the nail care industry. Students learn in a simulated salon environment that helps develop manipulative skills.
Graduates should qualify to sit for the State Board of Cosmetic Arts Examination. After successfully passing the State Board exam, graduates will be issued a license as nail technicians.
Students who pass the State Board exam find employment as nail technicians in spas and nail salons.
Program Cost
The program has a $180.00 registration cost plus fees. Estimated total $186.25.
Before the first day of class students must purchase:
- Uniform
- Red scrub top,
- Black scrub pants,
- Black closed-toe and heel shoes with leather or pleather material, and
- Black socks
- Nail Kit-Estimated cost is $279 and must be purchased at the CVCC Bookstore
- Textbooks - Estimated cost is $452 and must be purchased at the CVCC Bookstore
- Supplies
- One 2" Black Binder
- Notebook paper
- Computer with WiFi access
