Campus Store - Book Buy Back
The CVCC Campus Store buys back textbooks based on demand.
Buy Back Information
The CVCC Campus Store buys back books at the current wholesale price.
- Daily buys will be closed during the first two weeks of each semester due to higher volume of traffic.
- Daily buys will also be closed in June and first three weeks of July.
At the end of each semester, a book buyback period is held. During book buyback, students can get up to 50% cash back for textbooks that will be used next term, depending on CVCC Campus Store stock needs.
When the Campus Store reaches its buyback purchase limit for a particular book, that book may be purchased at wholesale prices set by CVCC's wholesale book dealer. The Campus Store does not control the wholesale value, nor the cash value given by the vendor for a book.
All books must be in good, resalable condition! Books with excessive writing, highlighting, broken spines, missing pages, water damage, lab manuals, workbooks, novels or study guides, etc., cannot be purchased. Discs that come with a book should be with the book to increase the value.
Books are scanned in order to determine their value. Qualification depends on the condition of each individual book and the current market demand for the book title, which changes constantly.
