CVCC Presents 2nd Annual Human Services Connections Conference

The Conference will occur on Friday, September 27th on Main Campus.

HICKORY, N.C.—Catawba Valley Community College and the CVCC Human Services Technology program announce the “2024 CVCC Human Services Connections Conference”, which will occur Friday, September 27th.

The conference is an in-depth exploration of the needs of our human services populations and providers within our community. Students, agencies, and providers of the Human and Social Services fields are highly encouraged to attend.

Featured speakers include Katrina Belmont, LCMHC, LCAS; Kathryn Gandgenett; Paula Swindle, PhD, LCMHCS; David Zealy-Wright, LCMHCS, LCAS, CCS; and Ericka Heath. Speakers will discuss topics such as “Imposter Syndrome and Perfectionism”, “Understanding the Autism Spectrum”, “Understanding Religious Based Trauma”, “Consent and Sexual Abuse”, and the keynote, “Law Enforcement and Drug Abuse in Catawba County”.

Registration fee is $10/person. After completing the conference, attendees will earn 4 CEUs, NBCC-approved.
