DRAMATIC READINGS - FROM TREVOR NOAH’S BOOK “BORN A CRIME”
Dramatic readings of excerpts from Trevor Noah’s book “Born a Crime” will be presented by the CVCC Play Production class in an online format. The class read the book together and the students have chosen selections of the book that resonated with them to craft a 40-minute-long performance. Highlighting parts of Noah’s life growing up in South Africa, the performance gives voice to issues of poverty, racism, and domestic violence, along with Noah’s sharp wit and humor.

The CVCC Play Production class is one course in the Associate of Fine Arts in Theatre degree program that transfers to many UNC system universities and several NC Independent Colleges and Universities.
