Gain the skills and hands-on experience needed to launch your career in the growing tech industry.
When you study IT Programming and App Development at CVCC, you’ll learn how to create, store, communicate, exchange and use information to solve technical issues related to information support and services, interactive media, network systems, programming and software development, information security and other emerging technologies based on the selected area of study.
Students will tackle real-world business challenges by applying programming techniques and procedures, utilizing the most relevant languages and software. The curriculum focuses on hands-on training in programming and other key computer areas, equipping students with the flexibility to adapt to evolving technologies.
Graduates will be well-prepared for roles in business, industry, and government, qualifying for positions such as programmers, programmer trainees, programmer/analysts, computer operators, systems technicians, database specialists, or mobile application designers and developers.

5 Semesters to your AAS
You’ll be ready for entry-level CyberSecurity positions with businesses, educational systems, and governmental agencies that rely on computer systems to design and manage information in just 5 semesters. You may even be qualified to take exams for network and security industry certifications.
By the end of those 5 semester, you’ll be able to:
- Develop and implement a local area network security policy utilizing routers and switches.
- Develop and implement a wireless local area network security policy utilizing wireless devices.
