Career Pathways allow you to start training for a career while you are working on your high school diploma, learning the English language, or building academic skills in our department. Don't see a pathway you like? Ask us!
Early Childhood Education Basics
Are you interested in a career working with young children?
Our Early Childhood Education Pathway helps students earn a qualifying letter from the Division of Child Development, which will allow you to work in a licensed childcare facility. You will also receive First Aid/ CPR certification. Once you complete the first course and you receive your letter, you may enroll in EDU 119 (online) and receive Early Childhood Credentials.
How much does it cost?
Program is free, however, there is a $35.00 fee for a background check due at the end of the course.

Manufacturing Basics
Are you interested in a career in manufacturing?
Our Manufacturing Basics Pathway will teach you the basic concepts of manufacturing and what is required for a local manufacturing career. After completing the program, students can receive a fast-track for open positions with CVCC business partners.
How much does it cost?
The cost for this course is $330, which includes tuition and materials.

Custodial Technician Basics
Are you interested in a career in the custodial field?
Custodial Technician Basics Pathway will prepare you for the Certified Custodial Technician Exam through ISSA’s Cleaning Management Institute. Students who successfully complete the course will graduate as a Certified Custodial Technician.

Certified Nursing Assistant 1
Are you interested in a career in nursing?
Certified Nursing Assistant I Pathway equips you with the basic CNA skills which are needed to work in a variety of health care settings (long-term care, hospitals, and home-based services). Topics include communication, nursing skills, patient’s rights, safety, CPR, the aging process, and professional collaboration. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to apply for the two-part written and skills portions of the state competency exam before being listed on the DHSR CNA I Registry.
How much does it cost?

Hospitality Academy
Are you interested in a career in the service industry?
The Hospitality Academy is designed to help you earn career credentials that advance your career in the service industry. You will be prepared to act as an integral part of hotel or resort management, event planning, catering, hosting, restaurant services, and more.
How much does it cost?
$495, includes tuition and materials. Scholarships are available.

Central Sterile Processing
Are you interested in a career in a hospital setting?
Central Sterile Processing combines classroom instruction and clinical work to prepare students to work as an entry-level sterile technician within the hospital setting.
How much does it cost?
The cost for the course is approximately $750, which includes tuition, materials, and required immunizations and testing.

Furniture Fundamentals
Are you interested in a career in making furniture?
Furniture Fundamentals is designed by local manufacturers to introduce and prepare you for skilled positions in furniture manufacturing. A portion of the course will also be dedicated to digital literacy, which will allow students to obtain their OSHA 10, computer skills, and NCCER certifications.
How much does it cost?
Approximately $225, includes tuition and materials.
