North Carolina Insurance Pre-Licensing
CVCC Pre-Licensing classes offer a variety of classes that include, Life, Health, Medicare Supplement/Long Term Care, Property, Casualty, Personal Lines and Adjuster.
Pre-Licensing Courses
Online video pre-licensing classes are insurance preparation classes offered via the internet. In the comfort of your home and/or office, you may access an insurance class of your choice (see below). Since the program is available 24 hours a day, you decide the best time to study. All of the education is available and completed online: The pre-licensing book, the Candidate Guide, the sectional quizzes and the pre-licensing class exam.
The advantage of this program is video streaming bringing the instructor to the student, saving gas, time and other costs. Through video streaming, you can see a video of an insurance class and can review it as often as you like during the 60-day program. If you are unclear about a topic, you can go through it again, or contact one of the on-call instructors to answer your questions.
You must have an email account, a computer with Microsoft Windows Media Player for viewing the video, Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing the text, and broadband internet access.

Health (Health and Accident or Sickness) Only (20 hours)
$70 Registration Fee and $135 non-refundable Materials and Book Fee (Total $205)
This course is designed to prepare students for the North Carolina State Health and Accident or Sickness Insurance Agents Examination.
Life and Health (Health and Accident or Sickness) Insurance (40 hours)
$125 Registration Fee and $220 non-refundable Materials and Book Fee ($345 total)
This course is designed to prepare students for the North Carolina State Life and Health and Accident or Sickness Insurance Agents Examinations.
Medicare Supplement and Long Term Care (10 hours)
(Students must have also taken the Health (Health and Accident or Sickness) to be eligible to take this course.) $70 Registration Fee and $100 non-refundable Materials and Book Fee ($170 total)
This course is designed to prepare students for the North Carolina State Medicare Supplement/Long Term Care Insurance Agents Examination.
Property Insurance Pre-licensing Course (20 hours)
$70 Registration Fee and $135 non-refundable Materials and Book Fee (Total $205)
This course is designed to prepare students for the North Carolina State Property Insurance Agents Examination.
Casualty Insurance Pre-licensing Course (20 hours)
$70 Registration Fee and $135 non-refundable Materials and Book Fee (Total $205)
This course is designed to prepare students for the North Carolina State Casualty Insurance Agents Examination.
Property and Casualty Insurance Pre-licensing Course (40 hours)
$125 Registration Fee and $220 non-refundable Materials and Book Fee (Total $345)
This course is designed to prepare students for the North Carolina State Property and Casualty Insurance Agents Examinations.
Self-Employed Adjuster Pre-licensing Course (40 hours)
$125 Registration Fee and $220 non-refundable Materials and Book Fee (Total $345)
This course is designed to prepare students for the North Carolina State Property and Liability Adjuster Examination.
Personal Lines (30 hours)
$125 Registration Fee and $220 non-refundable Materials and Book Fee (Total $345)
This course is designed to prepare students for the North Carolina State Personal Lines Insurance Agents Examination. The difference between this course and Property and Casualty is that this course does NOT include the Commercial Section. The Commercial material is not on the state test.
