Central Sterile Processing
PROGRAM INFORMATION
The Central Sterile Processing program combines classrom instruction and clinical work to prepare students for an entry-level position within the hospital setting. This 16-week course includes topics such as the preparation, storage, and distribution of medical instruments; quality assurance of inventory management; and proper sterilization/disinfection techniques. After the program, students will have six (6) months to complete 400 hours of documented work experience within a Sterile Processing Department. Once these hours are documented, students may sit for the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification examination.
CRCSTs may expect an average annual salary of *$36,460.
