Gun Safety Classes
Gun safety classes cover long guns, hand guns, and pistol defense.
All available classes with their time, date, location, and cost will be on the Class Schedules. Some classes may not be available at this time.
Basic Pistol for Women Level 1
Many years ago, self-protection typically fell to the man of the household, but that’s not the case today. Women are purchasing handguns now more than ever and wish to have a foundation of knowledge about the “tool” that may be necessary to defend themselves. This hands-on course teaches 2nd amendment rights, the proper way to handle a handgun, safety in and outside the home, explanation of ammunition, and it touches on the five fundamentals of shooting. This is not a NRA or conceal carry handgun course. No pre-requisites are required. Optional range time is available. This class is taught by a NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, Tom McNeely.
handgun 101: education for Adults
This basic pistol course is for men and women. Students are teamed up for classroom participation. This hands-on course teaches 2nd Amendment rights, handgun parts terminology, loading and unloading, firearm safety rules, children and firearms in the home, basics of ammunition, pistol storage, the six fundamentals of shooting, and much more. This is not a concealed carry handgun course. No pre-requisites are required. Optional range time for additional fee is available upon request. No pistol ownership is required to take class and no pistols are allowed on campus.

Handgun 201: Beginning Pistol Defense for Men and Women
"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” Sun Tzu – “The Art of War”. This hands-on course covers purchasing a handgun, defensive pistol techniques, situational awareness, conceal carry methods, drawing from holster, defensive ammo, staying out of jail in a shooting, and much, much more. This is not a conceal carry handgun course. Pre-requisite for the course is Handgun 101 course or a valid Conceal Carry handgun permit. Note: No pistol ownership is necessary to take this class and no pistols are allowed on campus. Optional range time is available but not included in price".
