If you are interested in learning how to cultivate a garden, ten this 6-week class is for you! You will get tips on creating a helpful way to get your garden growing. Discussion of preparing the correct soil, choosing the right fertilizers and prevent weeding trouble are just a few of the basics that will be discussed. You will be ready to create and harvest your rewards of the knowledge of gardening!
Stained Glass-Level 1
Learn the fundamentals of stained glass design in this fun and entertaining class with an emphasis on lampshades. You will learn how to choose the correct glass, create patterns, cut and grind glass and complete two projects.
Stained Glass Christmas Ornaments
Need a quick gift for that someone special during the holidays? Then this CVCC Stained Glass Ornaments mini-course is for you! This class is for participants who has previous stained-glass experience. Students will complete four or more stained glass ornaments during this four-week mini-course. Patterns will be provided for the class. Students are welcome to bring their own patterns to share with the class.
Acrylic Christmas Ornaments
Come learn how to make your very own ornaments for Christmas. Students will mix, color and pour epoxy into silicone molds to create their very own personalized ornaments. We will be adding various items to the epoxy such as glitter to add some flare to the ornaments. All supplies will be provided. If you have your own molds or glitters that you would like to bring that is welcomed as well. You will be able to pick up your ornaments the following week.
Welding: Scrap Metal Art
This welding class for art provides students with the opportunity to learn how to use this process to create their own unique pieces of art. This class covers the basics of welding, such as safety, equipment, and techniques. Students will also learn how to design and create their own art projects with scrape metal. With the knowledge and skills learned in this welding class for art, students will be able to create a wide variety of welded art forms and develop their own unique welding style.
Get to Know Your Toolbox
Learn how to use basic household tools that you might find in an everyday toolbox. This course will help you feel more comfortable when tackling your own projects or fixing simple items that break in your home. The class will give you the knowledge and confidence to tackle projects all on your own.
Wood: Build Your Own Tool Box
Students will learn how to use a table saw, jointer, planer, band saw, miter saw, nail guns, drill, and more. Upon completion, participants will take home their own wooden toolbox made during class.
